Rodcast 138: The M-word

So it took a couple of weeks to post this one. Relax! What is it, the end of the world or something?

0:00 -- Additional audio explanation
1:46 -- Minutes
4:38 -- Jon's card (2.5/6)
12:43 -- Sunday school (Lesson 5: "If Thou Doest Well, Thou Shalt Be Accepted," Lesson 6: "Noah... Prepared an Ark to the Saving of His House" (with a huge tangent about sacrament meeting), Lesson 7: The Abrahamic Covenant) also Rhett's weird deacon's quorum story
70:33 -- Listener comments
86:55 -- The M-word (it's not what you think)

Link to Rhett's ill-advised lesson video.

Link to the "M-word" video (and yeah, I would say it's more about "P" than "M," but it's hardly a stretch to add the "M" into the mix).

Link to the Happy Birthday Jon puzzle thingie.

Link to the Frozen gay grandmother thing.

Download here!

Next week: Food storage!

Maybe!

  1. Quicklier...that's a great word, Jn.

Did you read Kim Clark's interview with TIME magazine (I think) regarding the video? So impressive. Worth looking up and reading. And I do agree with Rhett that they don't want to use the m-word, so they talk about the thing that gets all the attention in the Church (the p-word) and let the viewers take it from there so far as the things the p-word influences people to involve themselves in/with.

    [End]

  3. The artwork is still not working right in my pod catcher, but I don't think it is Jon's fault. Apple probably isn't maintaining iTunes and podcasting like they ought to be doing. iTunes is really awful and needs a major overhaul.

The live temple sessions take longer because they have bigger crowds these days. In the past live sessions were quicker when there weren't that many people in the room. On a related note, have you ever participated in a prayer circle where there were only brothers in the circle?

I liked the Plan of Salvation video Rhett discovered. It looks like late 80s to early 90s though.

My favorite part of the Miracle of Forgiveness is the story about Cain. I like to think that he survived the flood because he grew gills, or something.

The Frozen Grandmother thing is just an example of why it is important to allow free speech. Isn't it wonderful that anyone can say whatever crazy thing they like.
