  1. Almost two hours? Oy.

Last Sunday at church, the talks were on the Word of Wisdom, which I believe both speakers defined as a commandment. I don't think it is...I think the text says that it is given as a 'principle with promise'. Does it being in the temple recommend interview change it into a commandment?

I think a lot of the value of the Old Testament to us now is in figurative lessons and not literal ones. The world is considerably different, of course, but the sin patterns...the reasons people choose to follow or not follow God/keep the commandments are often the same. That's the value of the OT to me. The details change, but the overall motivations and principles don't.

Quote of the 'cast: "Sex for everybody!" Thanks, Pd.

PS: I love you too, Rhett. Thanks for the good info and backup on Kate Kelly, etc.

Oh! And what's up for the 14th of July? It could be a quality FHE.

  3. It is a really great example of how faithful you are that you would agree to take down the Rodcast if your church leaders ever asked you to. I believe that Kate Kelly would not have been ex'ed, if she would have taken down her website. I wonder, however, how faithful you would be if your church leaders asked you to do the opposite--if they asked you to produce more Rocasts? Definitely something to ponder, although the whole point is moot, because the bishop will never be told about this discussion.
